The Discreet App for Bisexual, Bicurious and Questioning Men
Not every man who wants to connect with other men is out, single or sure what he calls himself. B8Mates is built with that in mind: you can explore, chat and meet without a face photo, without a precise location, and without choosing a label — and change your mind about any of it later.
Built for discretion
- Hidden face photos with reveal-on-request
- Approximate or hidden location
- Private albums for your inner circle only
- Discreet mode: invisible in the grid, still able to chat
- End-to-end encrypted messages and revocable photos
- One-tap blocking and reporting
Privacy controls that actually protect you
Hide your face photo and reveal it only to men you choose. Show approximate distance instead of your location, or hide location entirely. Keep private albums for Close M8s. Switch on discreet mode to disappear from the Discover grid while still messaging the mates you already know. Block anyone instantly and they vanish from your app — and you from theirs.
Chat is end-to-end encrypted and photos sent in chat can be revoked. There are no ads, so nothing about your activity is sold or shared.
Explore at your own pace
Many bisexual and bicurious men start with something low-pressure: a chat, a JO buddy, a bate mate, or simply a mate who gets it. B8Mates profiles let you say exactly that — friendship, hangouts, bating, hookups or “still figuring it out” — so the men who message you already know where you stand.
Interests and Tribes help you connect on more than attraction. A hiking Tribe or a gaming Tribe is an easy way to meet men without the pressure of a dating-style profile.
A community that is used to it
B8Mates has bi, curious, DL and straight-identifying men alongside gay men, and the culture reflects that. Nobody expects you to come out, explain your relationship or post a face. Mates first, everything else optional.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to say I am bisexual?+
No. Orientation is optional on your profile. Describe what you are looking for in your own words, or say nothing at all.
Can people see where I live?+
Only if you let them. By default your distance is shown approximately; you can hide it completely. Exact event locations are only shared with men a host has accepted.
What if I see someone I know?+
Block them. Blocking is instant and mutual — neither of you will appear in the other's app, and your content and messages disappear from their view.
Is B8Mates for married men?+
Many members are in relationships. B8Mates does not ask about your relationship status, and discreet mode, hidden faces and approximate location are built for exactly this.
