Why is this on the website? Apple App Store guidelines (Guideline 1.2) require that preferences for adult content must be managed outside the iOS app — we cannot include this setting in the app itself. We know it's a little less convenient and we're sorry for the extra step. This page is your dedicated place to control it.

Adult Content

B8Mates is an 18+ platform. Some members share adult (NSFW) photos and content on their profiles and in the social feed. By default, adult content is blurred and labelled Adult Content for all users.

How to change your setting

  1. 1Open the B8Mates app and go to your profile.
  2. 2Tap Edit Profile or the quick-panel and find Adult Content Preferences.
  3. 3Tap “Email me a link to change this” — we'll send a secure link to your registered email address.
  4. 4Tap the link in the email to return to this page with your preference ready to change. The link expires in 24 hours.

Use our Contact Us form — select Enable/Disable Adult Content as the category and we'll update your preference within 24 hours.

What is Adult Content?

Content is marked as adult (NSFW) by the member who posts it. On B8Mates, adult content may include:

  • Partial or full nudity in profile photos
  • Sexually suggestive images
  • Explicit content in the social feed

All adult content is visibly labelled Adult Content and blurred by default. Members who have not enabled adult content will only see blurred placeholders with a label — the underlying content is never shown without explicit preference.

Reporting Objectionable Content

B8Mates has zero tolerance for content that violates our Community Guidelines or our Terms of Service. This includes content depicting minors, non-consensual content, harassment, and hate speech. Such content will be removed and the responsible account permanently banned.

To report objectionable content or an abusive user within the app:

  1. Tap the three-dot menu on any profile or post.
  2. Select Report and choose the reason.
  3. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours.
  4. Confirmed violations result in immediate content removal and account suspension or permanent ban.
